The Bahamas is welcoming the world AGAIN!
The Bahamas is the first country to ever host the IAAF World Relays. The Event will be held at the Thomas A. Robinson stadium. The IAAF World Relays has previously been held on two consecutive editiona in Nassau with the third edition taking place April 22nd and 23rd 2017.
The Event is under the aegis of the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) and will bring together 700 athletes in the world, 300 team officials from over 40 countries. It is expected that past Olympians will compete at this years event.
The following relay races will be held: 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m, 4 x 400m, 4 x 800m and 4 x 1,500m including a mixed male and female distance medley. A junior program with athletes from The Bahamas will be held both days prior to the IAAF World Relays.
The 2017 IAAF World Relays will serve as a qualifying competition for the 2017 IAAF World Championships to be held in London.
